St. Michael's athlete, Dany Demyaneko '12, set the Ontario swim record in the 50-meter freestyle race at the 2010 OFSAA championships with a time of 24.21 seconds. However, this multi-sport athlete also displays great prowess on the volleyball court, starring this past season with the school's provincially 5th ranked varsity team. Dany already boasts an impressive track record, with Ontario under-15 and under-16 championships. His outstanding accomplishments have earned Dany acknowledgment by many local media, including an "Athlete of the Week" honour by City-tv and write-up in the Toronto Star.
