The Archangel’s Den Alumni Entrepreneur Contest, an event at St. Michael’s College School, nurtures, develops, and supports the educational journey and entrepreneurial aspirations of young alumni and current students, by providing them access to valuable learning, mentorship, and networking opportunities that reflect the mission and values of the school.
Do you have a business idea? Do you have a startup business looking for funding?
St. Michael’s College School is pleased to announce the third Archangel’s Den Alumni Entrepreneur Contest! The theme for the contest is having a positive impact on the world.
Alumni 30 years and under are invited to submit a pitch or business plan for an opportunity to present in front of the Archangel’s Den judges and the chance to turn your business dream into a reality. Please note, past Archangel's Den winners are not eligible to participate.
This year's panel of judges will select five finalists to present and the top three will be awarded prize money of $10,000, $3,500, or $1,500 to kick-start their businesses.
We are asking that pitch submissions or proposals demonstrate a positive impact on the world. Find a list of what to include in your pitch submission here.
There are two notable changes with this year's contest:
- Moving forward, successful pitches in the contest will have access to a team of mentors (all contestants will have access to the same mentors and not matched individually).
- Judges will be asked to choose the contestants based on submitted pitches and/or proposals that will have a positive impact on the world.
Those who meet the above criteria to enter the contest are kindly asked to submit their pitch or proposal to email@example.com by Friday, September 25.
The five finalists will be announced by email on Friday, October 23 and will be invited to present their business plan in February 2021 (confirmed date to be announced).
The finalists will work with a team of mentors to convert their pitch or proposal into a business plan with a 10-minute presentation and prepare them for potential questions from the judges.
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer as a mentor or a judge, please contact Stephanie Nicholls at firstname.lastname@example.org.
