On Wednesday, June 5, 2019 a group of five young and talented alumni entrepreneurs presented their pitch ideas to a panel of six judges with a goal to win prize money that would assist them in moving their business ideas forward.
The Alumni Association would like to offer congratulations to:

Robert Celik ’14: Unavoidable
Unavoidable collects food waste (e.g. coffee grounds and egg shells) from certain foodservice industries at no cost. Unavoidable transforms the material into valuable products that consumers demand. Pitch Mentor: Dante Vertolli ’11 | Product Mentor: Robert Bartucci ’96
2nd Place ($3,500 and six months of mentoring)
Liam Herbst ’14: RateRover
(Team members: Shawn Moss and Adithya Sukumar)
RateRover is a financial product comparison chatbot which recommends the best financial products to users based on their lifestyle and spending habits. RateRover solves this problem with a simplified, personalized, and charming Facebook Messenger chatbot. Pitch Mentor: Giampiero De Pasquale ’08 | Product Mentor: Robert Milne
3rd Place ($1,500 and six months of mentoring)
Gabe Gallucci ’09: ALTR Inc.

ALTR is an all-encompassing creative and content house that co-creates and represents musicians, visual artists, and creative brands.
