The St. Michael’s Athletics programme is pleased to announce the NCAA commitment of Grade 10 lacrosse student-athletes Ryan Essensa ’19 and Hudson Thomson ’19.
After standout seasons in their freshman year, Ryan and Hudson join several other members of their sophomore class at St. Michael’s in committing to high level NCAA programmes.
Ryan, a hard-nosed face-off and offensive midfielder, becomes the first St. Michael’s lacrosse student-athlete to commit to attend Michigan University.
Hudson, a tall left-handed attackman, continues the Thomson family lacrosse tradition in committing to Marquette University. He will follow older brothers Tanner ’14 and Keaton ’16 in playing for the Golden Eagles who are the defending Big East conference champions.
The Varsity Blue Gaels Lacrosse team look forward to the Canadian and NCAA commitments of the remainder of a strong roster, as they prepare for a challenging 2017 campaign and vie for a third consecutive OFSAA Championship.
