A Closer Look: Athletics Programme

Respect, commitment, integrity, and excellence are the pillars of the Athletics programme at St. Michael’s College School (SMCS) and a core part of the school’s philosophy on athletics.

With 56 competitive sports teams and 12 intramural sports, SMCS students have access to a wide range of athletic options from hockey or basketball to swimming or cross country and many more.

The Fitness in a Bag initiative is part of the 2020-21 SMCS Athletics Programme.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has meant that much of the programme has been put on pause, some new initiatives, such as Fitness in a Bag and physically distanced ‘human foosball’ (when students were permitted on campus), have helped to fill the void and encouraged students to stay active in fun, engaging, and safe ways.
